Sustainable Pipeline

Snapshot of Results

Masse needed a predictable way to generate high-ticket clients instead of relying on inconsistent referrals. Selling a $10K/month service to a cold audience isn’t easy, so we focused on building trust first before scaling. We launched lead magnets and highly targeted paid ads on Reddit, Google, and LinkedIn. After three months, we delivered:

  • $80,000 in closed deals
  • $25,000 in profitable ad spend to generate high-ticket leads
  • One sustainable inbound sales pipeline

The best part? This system works without us. Masse now has a repeatable acquisition strategy that doesn’t rely on unpredictable referrals.

Who is Masse?

Before we dive in, let’s address the obvious—yes, Masse and Surge are closely linked. Nile Frater, Managing Director at Masse, is also a partner in Surge, and vice versa. In 2023, we built Masse together with a clear vision:

  • Most content marketing agencies fail to deliver measurable outcomes (sales).
  • Most technical SEO agencies aren’t great at content marketing.

Our solution? A productized service that controls technical SEO and content marketing, ensuring clients see tangible business results—not just blog posts.

But excellent services don’t sell themselves. To grow, Masse needed predictable deal flow beyond referrals.

The Big Problem

Referrals had been Masse’s lifeline—but they were inconsistent. In one month, they’d close three deals—the next, radio silence.

That wasn’t sustainable. When you’re building a business, slow months are manageable. But you need consistent revenue when you have a team to pay and growth targets to hit.

It was time to create a scalable customer acquisition system.

Our Approach

Selling a $10K/month service to a cold audience isn’t easy. People don’t just wake up and decide to drop five figures on content marketing from a company they’ve never heard of. So, we built trust first.

Here’s how:

  • Lead Magnets That Matched the Core Service – Instead of pitching the service upfront, we created valuable, no-commitment entry points to capture leads.
  • Multi-Channel Paid Ads – We ran highly targeted campaigns on Reddit, Google, and LinkedIn, focusing on our ideal customer: Series A+ venture-backed B2B SaaS companies.
  • Scalable Growth Strategy – We tested ads, optimized messaging, and scaled budgets over three months to ensure a steady pipeline of qualified leads.

The Results

In just three months, Masse went from referral-dependent to predictable growth.

  • $80,000 in closed deals in 3 months of launching our client acquisition system
  • $25,000 in profitable ad spend to generate high-ticket leads
  • A sustainable pipeline of inbound sales calls (arguably the most important)

Masse is now a high-margin, low-volume, cash-flowing agency—precisely the business model we aimed for. And the best part? This system keeps working, without us and without relying on unpredictable referrals.

Final Thoughts

Some agencies struggle for years to build predictable lead flow. We did it in three months with targeted ads and a structured funnel. Masse now has a scalable growth engine, allowing it to focus on what it does best: delivering results for clients.

Read this with three big grains of salt—this is our business. It took over a year to develop the service and years of experience running other companies before we reached this point. It didn’t happen overnight. There were late nights, hard conversations, and plenty of failed ad campaigns—just to get the results we’re discussing here.

Oh, and one more thing—Jack left Masse in 2024 to build Surge. It turns out that clients didn’t just want content and SEO. They wanted us to run their paid ads, too.
