Who is Nocode.tech?

Nocode.tech is a media company dedicated to the no-code and automation space. Think of it like Hacker News, but for freelance no-coders. They got in early—launching in 2018—and built a profitable, bootstrapped business that eventually exited.

As a media company, they serve two audiences:

  • B2B – Selling ad space to no-code and automation businesses (their primary revenue stream).
  • B2C – Educating end users about no-code tools through free and paid content.

They had strong SEO-driven traffic, but monetizing that traffic consistently was a challenge.

The Big Problem

Simply put, inconsistent leads and therefore revenue.

Nocode.tech had plenty of visitors, but their traffic was scattered across hundreds of pages. High-intent B2B users—those who wanted to buy ad space—were mixed in with B2C users who were just browsing and learning. They needed a way to funnel the right visitors (no-code businesses) to the right pages (the ones that generated ad revenue).

That’s where we stepped in.

Our Approach

We implemented a Performance Max (PMAX) Google Ads strategy designed to retarget and segment high-intent B2B users. Here’s how we did it:

  • Retargeting based on user behavior – We tracked how long visitors stayed on the site, how often they returned, what content they engaged with, and what they clicked on. Ads were only shown to B2B users who exhibited strong buying signals.
  • Audience segmentation – We separated users based on intent. Some visitors wanted to learn about no-code, while others were ready to buy ad space. These users looked identical in analytics tools, so we set custom rules to distinguish them.
  • Creative and audience testing at low spend – We tested different ad creatives and audience segments at a low budget, identifying the highest-performing combinations before scaling them up.

This strategy worked because Nocode.tech already had a strong organic traffic foundation. We simply helped them find the right users and leveraged Google’s data for precision targeting. By focusing exclusively on engaged B2B users, we ignored the noise—ensuring ad spend was used efficiently.
